From eCrystals Federation Project
Mark Borkum is a postgraduate researcher and member of the Frey Group (School of Chemistry, University of Southampton), freelance computer scientist and semi-amateur guitarist. He currently works as part of the eCrystals development team.
His academic career started in 2008 when he completed a masters degree in Computer Science (School of Electronics and Computer Science, University of Southampton). As an undergraduate, he worked as lead developer for the myExperiment project where he designed and built the first production-ready version of the virtual research environment. His postgraduate research in to the "acquisition and manipulation of Chemical Information" started in October 2008 under the joint-supervision of Professor Jeremy Frey and Dr Simon Coles.
